Describe how knowledge, training, and proactive measures create a level of professionalism among medical assistants

What will be an ideal response?

The medical assistant should have a firm knowledge base on the trends and strategies to cope with disasters and will display his or her professionalism through both competence and character. The medical assistant will also demonstrate professionalism through individual proactive measures such as keeping the emergency crash cart supplied and stocked with nonexpired items and ensuring his or her individual first aid and CPR trainings are up-to-date. Emergency preparedness training will add a tangible component to the medical assistant's knowledge base. Once the medical assistant has learned how to identify and classify emergencies, hands-on training should be completed to provide real-life situations that will require individuals to demonstrate critical thinking and action-based problem solving.
