Explain the significance of the thickness of the left ventricular wall.
What will be an ideal response?
The thicker wall of the left ventricle allows it to contract forcefully with great pressure to pump the blood into the systemic circuit. The wall of the right ventricle is thinner so that a lower pressure is created to move the blood a relatively short distance to the lungs.
