How could Cattell justify describing Brain's personality differently before and after his time in Iraq? Did Cattell think personality traits were stable across time?

What will be an ideal response?

Cattell thought that there were both biological and environmental influences on personality development. The difference in Brian's personality before and after the war could be attributable to environmental influences. Cattell thought that personality developed throughout adolescence and that when one reached the approximate age of 25 his/her personality would stabilize. Because Brian is just now reaching the age of maturity, it would make sense that his personality could change/develop because of his experiences in Iraq.
