Discus hegemonic masculinity and provide examples of what it looks like in society.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Varies. Hegemonic masculinity is the cultural norms or ideas of how men should behave. Strength, control, and aggression are valued characteristics of hegemonic masculinity. Men are expected to perform or behave in these ways as they are accepted as the norm. Violence is also an example of hegemonic masculinity. Examples would be contact sports such as football or hockey. Mass shootings and school shootings are also examples of hegemonic masculinity.
