Explain the term composure and what it means relative to public speaking.
What will be an ideal response?
Composure entails the ability to appear calm under pressure. Audience members
will view someone who cracks under pressure as less credible than someone who is
able to overcome potential obstacles and unforeseen circumstances, and they will not
desire a relationship with such a person. Nervousness does not necessarily mean a
lack of composure.
