What is usability testing, and why is it important?
What will be an ideal response?
Usability testing is testing an application with different users and noting what works well and what needs to be modified. It involves giving a user tasks to complete with limited, or no instructions, and observing how they can or cannot perform the tasks in the application. As a developer of the application, it is easy to miss small steps or wording that may be misleading to a user unfamiliar with the application, so usability testing puts the developer in the shoes of the user.
