Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual conduct that is a term or condition of employment. Sexual harassment falls into two categories:
1. Quid pro quo harassment occurs when "submission to or rejection of sexual conduct is used as a basis for employment decisions."
2. Hostile environment occurs when unwelcome sexual conduct "has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with job performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment." Behaviors that can cause a hostile work environment include persistent or pervasive displays of pornography, lewd or suggestive remarks, and demeaning taunts or jokes.
