The Office Clipboard is a reserved place in a computer's memory in which up to 24 cut or copied items can be stored. The items stored on the Office Clipboard are displayed on the Clipboard task pane. The Clipboard task pane may open automatically when two or more items are cut or copied. Click the Dialog Box Launcher icon in the Clipboard to manually open the task pane. Click an item in the task pane to paste it at the insertion point. Items will remain on the Office Clipboard until they are cleared with the Clear All button in the task pane or until Word is closed.
