When using headers and footers, how do you hide them on the first page of your document?

In many cases, you will not want to show headers or footers on the first page of a document. The first page is usually a cover letter or title page which would look odd including a header or footer. To hide headers and footers, click the Different First Page check box in the Options group on the Header & Footer Tools Design tab. The header and footer will appear on every page of the document except for page 1.
