What is type glow, and how can you avoid it in your designs?

What will be an ideal response?

Type glow is what occurs when the brightness of a background permeates the edges of darker or duller letterforms, making them appear thinner or when the brightness of a letterform seems to overflow into a darker or duller background. To avoid type glow in your designs you should choose colors for the text and background that are not too high in contrast, complementary colors or colors with similar hues.
