Describe how web designers incorporate UX-driven interactivity.

What will be an ideal response?

Few things have impacted web design in recent years more than the focus on UX. UX considerations put the website visitor's needs first. UX-driven interactivity includes adding buttons, menus, animations, forms, and more to engage and instruct the user. Examples of UX-driven interactivity trends include sidebar and off-canvas navigation links to provide context-specific navigation, and galleries and slideshows to instruct or entertain. Many trends have the added benefit of saving screen space, which is of special importance to the high number of mobile web users. Because space is limited, and current web design trends value sparse design, animations and other interactive features that accomplish multiple goals and serve as calls- to-action become even more important. Touch screen users also need interactive features, such as buttons that change color or shape after being clicked, to indicate change in status, or that an action is pending (such as a new page loading). Other UX-driven interactive features include animations that respond to the website visitor's actions, such as scrolling, or movements and gestures, such as shaking or rotating the device.
