Why are the effects of nicotine on memory unclear?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: Many study show improvements in memory while other studies do not. Nicotine may improve memory in nonsmokers more than smokers. Heavy smoking may increase the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and worsen the destructive effects of amyloid beta42 proteins. Yet, some studies report a decreased risk of Alzheimer’s disease in smokers.
