How does multilevel encoding help with optimizing a data communication system?
What will be an ideal response?
Optimizing a data communication system means designing a faster delivery system along with minim error. A faster delivery system means transmitting more data per second with smaller bandwidth. The bandwidth requirement in an encoding process is inversely proportional to r, the ratio of the data elements and the signal elements. Therefore, to increase the speed of data delivery, we must be able to assign more data elements to one unit of signal element or, in other words, reduce the bandwidth. Multilevel encoding is a method that will help us accomplish this task.
