Why was Pluto reclassified as a dwarf planet?

What will be an ideal response?

Pluto is one-fifth Earth's diameter and smaller than seven satellites in the solar system. It has a moon, Charon, that is quite substantial in size by comparison to Pluto. The new category of dwarf planets fits Pluto better. Dwarf planets are celestial bodies orbiting the Sun and are essentially spherical due to their own gravity but are not large enough to sweep their orbits clear of other debris.
