What is the Distributed File System service available through the File and Storage Services role?

What will be an ideal response?

Distributed File System (DFS) enables folders shared from multiple computers to appear as though they exist in one centralized hierarchy of folders instead of on many different computers. For example, consider a network used by atmospheric science researchers. One server contains shared folders for weather research, and another server contains shared folders of geographical data. A third server has shared folders with maps, and a fourth server has shared folders with project information. Remembering which server houses which shared information can be a chore. With DFS, all of the shared folders still reside on different servers, but to the user it looks like all are on one server in one place.
