Describe the cutting plane lines.

What will be an ideal response?

The cutting plane line is either a thick (heavy) line with one long and two short dashes or a series of thick (heavy), equally spaced long dashes. The line represents the edge of the cutting plane. The arrowheads on the ends of the cutting plane line show the direction in which the section is viewed. A capital letter is usually placed at the end of the cutting plane line to identify the section. Cutting plane lines can be drawn in simplified form.
