Describe the juvenile court the Progressives created
What will be an ideal response?
In juvenile court, judges did not sit on benches above children but beside them at a table. Proceedings were informal. Their aim was not to affix blame but to find out what caused children to "go wrong" so that it could be put right. The Progressives were great fact collectors. They gathered information about children's home life, past behavior, health, and anything else that might help them diagnose and cure youths' problems.
