When should entrained air be used and what does it do to concrete?
What will be an ideal response?
Entrained air should be used in all concrete paving regardless of the temperatures but especially for those exposed to freeze and thaw cycles. The amount of entrained air required decreases as the maximum size of the aggregate increases. Entrained air reduces the amount of water required, producing a lower water-cement ratio.
