Define the concept instructional alignment and explain why it is so important in teaching and learning
What will be an ideal response?
Instructional alignment is the match between learning objectives or standards, learning activities, and assessments. Alignment is essential for teaching and learning because without it is difficult to know what is being learned. It's virtually impossible for us to determine the extent to which our instruction is influencing student learning unless we identify objectives, conduct learning activities designed to help students reach those specific objectives, and use assessments that measure the extent to which the objectives have been met.
