• Cyberbullying is the willful and repeated emotional harm inflicted through the use of electronic devices such as computers and cell phones.
• More than twenty states to have passed new laws criminalizing aggressive behavior perpetrated through technology. For the most part, these laws focus on cyberstalking and cyberbullying, both of which are examples of common offline behavior that has been exacerbated by e-mail, chat rooms, instant and text messaging, and the far reach of the Internet.
