What is the relationship between religion and politics in the United States?
What will be an ideal response?
Despite the wide variation in social class differences within different religious denominations, there is some correlation between religion and politics. Jews vg, Roman Catholics, and Protestants tend to support the Democratic party, in decreasing order of strength. Episcopalians and Presbyterians, some of the denominations with more upper class followers, tend to align with the more politically conservative Republican party.
