What are the advantages or disadvantages of sequestration for the prosecution? the defense?

What will be an ideal response?

The prosecution may benefit by jury sequestration because the effect may be that the jury would not hear potential reports about other people accused of committing the same crime, exculpatory evidence that was not qualified for any number of reasons to be presented at trial, and opinions about the possible innocence of the defendant.
Similarly, the defense may also benefit from jury sequestration because the effect may be that the jury would not hear about witnesses that were disqualified for any number of reasons from testifying before the jury, evidence that would seem to point to the guilt of the defendant that was unearthed without a warrant and was therefore inadmissible at trial, or even opinion commentary about the possible guilt of the defendant.
