Mastic is an elastomeric construction cement. Sometimes referred to as liquid nails, it is sold in tubes and applied with a caulking gun. Typical uses include bonding plywood subfloors to joists, bonding wall paneling to studs, laminating gypsum wall-board, styrene, and similar materials, and assembling wall, floor, and roof panels. Mastic is water-resistant and develops full strength after several weeks.
