Explain one of the added costs that might be incurred by the contractor as a result of a change issued by the owner
What will be an ideal response?
There are many added costs that might be incurred. Virtually every change that
is issued by the owner will result in the contractor incurring additional administrative
costs. Everyone must be informed of the change or work may be performed according to
the original contract documents that were changed. Note that these administrative costs
are incurred whether the cost of an item is increased or if an item of work is deleted from
the project scope.
