Identify three needs of human security set out by the UN Development Programme in 1994. Give an example for each.
What will be an ideal response?
For example, human security includes meeting the need for economic security. Parents, for instance, should be able to provide at least minimal provision for their families. Also, there is the need of food security. Children, for example, should have their minimal nutritional standards met. Health security involves having meaningful access to medical care sufficient to maintain reasonable health and avoid preventable diseases and deaths.
