Briefly describe the analysis that are done to interpret the results of complex designs when an interaction effect is present and when an interaction effect is not present.
What will be an ideal response?
When an interaction effect is present, simple main effects analyses and comparisons of means two at a time are used to specify the source of the interaction effect. Then main effects may be analyzed. When no interaction effect is present, however, analysis of main effects of each independent variable including comparisons of two means, if necessary, are done.
