Describe the two types of burglaries and explain how targets are selected

What will be an ideal response?

• The two types are residential and commercial burglary. Residential burglars may focus on apartments or houses and usually work the higher-income areas of town. Warehouses, stores, taverns, and restaurants are all common targets of commercial burglaries. In both cases target selection involves: familiarity and convenience, occupancy, visibility, accessibility, vulnerability, and potential rewards.
