How does a typical child's personality change during childhood?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Overall, children's personalities mature as they learn to better control their emotions and actions. As children grow from 18 months to 9 years, emotionality declines, shyness increases, and activity declines. Children become more inhibited, especially between the ages of 4 and 9.
