Answer: Answers will vary, but should include four of the following: finish drafting a speech outline at least two days before the speech; rehearsing the speech aloud to determine where notes and prompts might be needed; revising the speech according to time limits; using notes, either electronic or hard-copy; standing up to rehearse a speech; not memorizing the speech; not planning specific gestures; modifying notes to reflect appropriate changes; presenting in front of another person to practice eye contact and receive feedback; electronically recording rehearsal for review, or practicing in a mirror; rehearsing using presentation aids, which should not be created at the last minute; re-creating as much as of the speaking situation as possible, including location; and practicing good vocal delivery skills.
