Identify at least four things you can do to create better concentration while learning, and explain how they help you concentrate better.
What will be an ideal response?
There are many strategies for creating better concentration while learning. The first is to catch yourself daydreaming. Most people don't realize it when they daydream, and this distracts them from concentrating. Once you catch yourself, you can then do something to get back on track.
Another strategy is to put yourself in an effective learning space where there are few or no distractions and you can be seated in an upright position at a desk or table.
A third strategy is to set a time goal for your studies. If you know you have three chapters to read, then setting a goal of finishing one chapter before taking a break motivates you to stay and finish the one chapter. Without the goal, you might get up more frequently, which breaks your concentration.
A fourth strategy is to "dump" your to-do list. If you are concentrating more about everything else you have to do than the work you are doing, then it is a good idea to write down these thoughts on a piece of paper so you will remember them when you need them. Once the brain is "dumped out," it has more room to focus on learning.
