There are five factors identified that give rise to social movements. Analyze one of the movements discussed in the chapter, discussing how each of these five factors gave rise to the movement you choose

In your discussion, explain which one of these factors was the most critical to the success of that movement.

What will be an ideal response?

An ideal response will:
1, Explain how (1) real or perceived distress, (2) availability of resources for mobilization, (3) a supportive environment, (4) a sense of efficacy among participants, and (5) a spark to set off the flames gave rise to the chosen social movement.
2, Explain how one of these five factors was the most critical/important to the success of the chosen movement. Answers will be unique to each student and will vary.
