Varies. Funding for education largely comes from tax base. Wealthier neighborhoods mean more funding for schools. Racially segregated Black and Latino neighborhoods, as well as rural areas, tend to have less funding and resources. Many cities (Chicago, for example) closing down public schools and supporting charter schools.
