Name and describe several hormones that affect digestion in the gastrointestinal tract

What will be an ideal response?

Gastrin is produced by cells of the stomach that stimulates nearby cells to produce hydrochloric acid and other enzymes, such as pepsinogen. Secretin from the small intestine causes the pancreas to produce bicarbonates, and other cells of the walls of the small intestine produce cholecystokinin, which causes the pancreas to produce various other enzymes important for digestion.
