Why should a victims' service provider deal with the media?
What will be an ideal response?
The public media have the ability to bring crime directly into our living rooms. It is therefore critical for victim services providers to understand how the media work and how to effectively communicate with them. The media can help or hinder the victim's recovery and subsequent attitude toward life. It is therefore important that professionals develop a working relationship with the media to help bridge the gap between the media and victims.
