Why is it important to understand the policy style of governments?

What will be an ideal response?

Understanding the policy styles of governments allows us to use policy to characterize the political systems and use it as the lens with which to compare them. The examination of policy styles illustrates that there may be greater differences across policy areas in a single country than there are across countries. An example is that while the United States may have a reactive style when it comes to health care, the United States can be considered active when it comes to foreign policy.
