How can you prepare yourself to get the most out of class lectures?

What will be an ideal response?

First, bring all course materials (notebooks, texts, handouts, and so on) to class. In addition, arrive on time and sit in a spot (preferably near the front of the classroom) where you will not be distracted and can hear your instructor. Before class begins, spend a few minutes reviewing your previous session's notes, an activity that will refresh your memory. Be aware of the impression you make; texting in class, looking bored, and engaging in similarly distracting behaviors can make a negative impression on your instructors. Finally, respond to lecture material with appropriate body language, mental comments, and written notes.
