Why is it important for victim services providers to understand the criminal justice system? Doesn't anyone who watches television already have a basic understanding of how courts work?

What will be an ideal response?


The service providers need to advise victims as to the rights, obligations, etc. of victims. In addition being able to explain the issues involve should make the experience easier for victims. Generally television does not focus on victim's rights but other more interesting issues.
