Describe how cellular respiration and photosynthesis are different

In respiration, sugars are oxidized to CO2 to gain energy using oxygen as the final electron acceptor, forming water. In photosynthesis, water is split to produce oxygen, and the electrons provide energy to fix CO2 into sugars.
