What will be an ideal response?
Decomposition results in smaller pieces of a system which are then easier to work with. This is accomplished by breaking a system down into smaller components. Decomposition allows the systems analyst to focus attention on one area of the system, focus on one part of the system pertinent to a group of users and build parts of the system independently.
