Explain and give examples of the processes of co-regulation and gatekeeping between parents and children

What will be an ideal response?

Co-regulation: the child and parent both contribute to the regulation of the child’s behavior.
For example, the parent sets general rules, such as homework must be completed before bedtime, and the child makes a plan for the day that includes homework plus other things the child wants to do.
Gatekeeping: the child wants to engage in an activity, such as learning a musical instrument, and the parent makes it possible, financially, and in terms of transportation and other support, for the child to get lessons.
