Discuss qualitative research through a phenomenoglogical approach.
What will be an ideal response?
The focus of the phenomenological approach is to understand how humans develop a way of knowing the world. What is the human perception of events or things? It is focused on the perceptual phenomena of the world or an event. The intent is to describe phenomena as they occur. In essence, the phenomenological researcher attempts to understand an individual’s personal perspective (his or her feelings and reactions) to events under study. A phenomenological method of research is particularly helpful when a researcher wants to identify relevant issues and concepts in the context of a particular event, and possibly conduct quantitative research or other types of qualitative research to further understand the event.
