Below is text from a report of a consumer research study that used an independent samples t test. This research compared taste preferences for two different types of cookies: Brownie Batter and Chocolate. Consumers were randomly assigned to eat one of the two types of cookies, after which they rated it on a 1 (did not like it at all) to 5 (liked it a lot) range.
