• Will the knowledge and skills lead to independence?
• Will the content meet future needs, i.e., employment, independent living, etc.?
• Consider parents' input. Do they thinkthe content is important to meet current and future needs?
• Consider student's input. Does the student think the content is important to meet current and future needs? Will the student need the skill when he/she is age 21 years?
• What will happen if the student does not learn the content?
