Describe and give another name for chain dimensioning and briefly explain how this practice causes tolerancing stacking or buildup.

What will be an ideal response?

Chain dimensioning also
known as point-to-point dimensioning, is a methods of dimensioning from
one feature to the next. Each dimension is dependent on the previous
dimension or dimensions. When you see chain dimensioning used on a
print, the tolerance of each dimension builds on the next, which is known
as tolerance stacking, or buildup.
