Action research involves active engagement of individuals traditionally known as subjects or participants. The subjects become contributors to the researcher. The outcomes of the research are integrated into the lives of participants. Action research seeks to study not just for the sake of research, but also with the goal of creating a positive change. Research phases are spiraled so that each step is composed of planning, action, and evaluation.
