How could the concept of selective incapacitation be successful in a time when prison populations are excessively high?
What will be an ideal response?
Selective incapacitation can reduce the number of incarcerated inmates to more controllable levels and can ensure that the most dangerous criminals are incapacitated while less dangerous offenders are dealt with using other means. This would help to alleviate overcrowding and help prisons to regain some semblance of control.
