Macrosoft may be considering whether to bundle the tasks by specialty. The advantage of specialization is a heightened level of expertise in each type of task. The major problem will be that of coordination, an important issue given the need to integrate the tasks into the final product. One approach may be to pull together teams of specialized software developers for each software product and provide the teams with incentives to complete a high-quality final product in a timely manner. Team members should also be evaluated individually for their contributions. This will help reduce free riding in teams.
