What is the definition of domestic terrorism? How does this definition differ from a general definition of terrorism or international terrorism?
What will be an ideal response?
The definition of domestic terrorism is the same as the definition of terrorism except domestic terrorism adds clarification that the act is committed by someone or some group that is part of the United States (or the country of interest). The US Code defines domestic terrorism as activities that involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State; appears to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States (see page 239 in text).
