What was Nicky Barnes' role in the development of Black organized crime?

What will be an ideal response?

Nicky Barnes, "Mister Untouchable," worked with Mathew Madonna of the Lucchese Family, distributing heroin in New York State, Pennsylvania, Canada and Arizona. He organized a council of the major traffickers in Harlem. Like the American Mafia, council members took an oath of brotherhood, pooled their resources, and allocated territories. An amusing story is the way he cut (diluted) heroin: naked women were employed to do this work; being nude, there was little likelihood of them being able to conceal the product in their clothing.
