Annual plants have a life cycle that spans one year, or one growing season. Their growth is indeterminate. Biennials have a two-year life cycle, flowers are produced the second year. Perennials live for many years, and typically produce flowers during many years of their life span. Perennials include both herbaceous and woody plants.
